Merrimack County - Recording Fee Schedule
Payment is to be made at the time of recording. Separate checks required
for payment of transfer tax and recording fees. Surcharge to be added to recording fee payment.
Return postage to be added to each document. Make checks payable to: MERRIMACK COUNTY REGISTRY OF
DEEDS.

All documents except assignments of mortgages, UCC Filings and discharges:
- $10.00 for first page of document
- $4.00 for each additional page(s) of document

Assignments of mortgages:
- $10.00 for the first assignment per recorded document
- $4.00 for each additional recorded page
- plus $5.00 for each subsequent mortgage being assigned

UCC Recordings and Discharges (RSA 478:17-G EFF.2/21/90)
- $15.00 for first page
- $4.00 for each additional page of document

Plans (See RSA 478:1a EFF.1/2005)
- A. 8 ½ x 11 = $ 9.00
- B. 11 X 17 = $ 9.00
- C. 17 X 22 = $ 14.00
- D. 22 X 34 = $ 24.00
Plans must be on reproducible material other than paper and drawn with permament black ink. (RSA 478:1a) See further listing of restrictions and requirements.

Surcharge on recording of documents. RSA 478:17-J EFF.1/1/95
A surcharge is imposed on all documents charged for under RSA 478:17-G.
The surcharge is $2.00 per document including plans. Fee to be included with recording fee payment.

Transfer tax rate; EFF. JULY 1, 1999 - JUNE 30, 2009
$7.50 per thousand paid by both buyer and seller for a total tax of $15.00 per thousand
based upon the full consideration/purchase price of the sale, grant or transfer. For consideration
of $4,000.00 or less, the total minimum tax is $40.00.
Any exemption from the transfer tax must be stated on the document being recorded or the tax will be assessed.
